Job Description

In support of Fugro's digitalization journey and nature of its business there is a need to enhance the critical infrastructure that underpins the corporate data strategy. Operational excellence is required to ensure continuous improvement of all our hosting platforms. As Global Solution Specialist, you work closely together with the other IT teams. You will help set up and manage joint solutions that fit our Enterprise and Reference Architecture.

Define and manage global standards for all hosting platforms (on-prem-, private- and public cloud), including operating systems, hypervisors, middleware, storage and related tooling.

Define standards for maintenance/operations of all hosting platforms in accordance to policies and security requirements.

Actively involved in decisions of solutions that impact standards/ policy and the End State Architecture.

The position has the following objectives

• Define and manage global hosting solutions and standards

• Drive changes and innovation of IT while primarily aligning with (future) requirements of the business.

• Validate the impact of solutions within architectural and security boundaries.

• Manage that the solutions are maintained according to plan.

Your role

• You participate in plans and designs of the IT organization and strive for an excellent fit;

• You interface with IT leadership and internal teams to develop solutions;

• You create and review designs and documentation;

• You evaluate vendor solutions for applicability within Fugro;

• You set up and maintain a joint roadmap;

• You also define standards for maintenance/operations of all hosting platforms in accordance to policies and security requirements;

• You set up and enable performance measurements to be able to Monitor & Control.

Your track record

• You have a Bachelor degree in IT or equivalent higher education;

• You have a minimum 8 years of experience;

• Hosting (and Cloud) Services expertise;

• You have a broad knowledge of (at least some of) the other architecture domains;

• You are experienced in in interacting with regional teams;

• You have extensive problem solving and interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as a team member;

• You have knowledge of an organisation's enterprise architecture standards and guidelines;

• You have excellent English language skills (both written and oral);

• You are able to work well in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
